The Mahopac Teachers’ Association (MTA) is a union that represents nearly 450 teachers, nurses, counselors and psychologists within the Mahopac Central School District. Our motto is, “Working Together for Tomorrow” because we feel a direct link with the future of not only the Mahopac community, but the world as well.
We are very active in the Mahopac community. This includes participating in events like Relay for Life, March Madness, Making Stride Breast Cancer Walk, Ice Cream Social, Senior Citizen Dinner Show, Make a Difference Day, and much more. We also award approximately $8,000 annually in scholarships to graduating seniors, while raising nearly $10,000 per year for other local and national charities.
